This position leads our team of Advanced Workflow Specialists (AWSs) with the goal of helping our Direct, Dealer and Agent sales force win complex sales with the use of Leica’s imaging software, coupled with our microscope and digital camera solutions. The Manager, Advanced Workflow AM, grows and develops his / her team to continuously hone their skills and transfer that imaging knowledge to our sales team. This position also contributes individually to the success of the sales reps in the geography that they support. Keys to success include win rate, certification training of our sales team and individual sales of specific advanced products.

This position will work with our potential and existing Applied Microscopy distributors & direct customers to meet their material science, forensic documentation, image analysis requirements with Leica Microsystems digital cameras, image analysis software, confocal metrology systems and laser microdissection systems. The Specialist must be able to execute a value-added, consultative sales approach to application solving, demonstrations, product support, training and sale of Leica’s imaging products to technical buyers.

The Specialist will be an expert in material science (metallurgical) applications such as particle sizing, phase determination, inclusion rating, grain sizing, and general image analysis. The Specialist will be proactive in training of dealer & direct representatives, customer demonstration support, creation of macros for customized Image Analysis applications and Leica based system sales. They will support Applied Microscopy customers using Leica digital cameras, Qwin, material workstation, LAS & its application modules.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to) * Increase sales of Leica Applied Microscopy imaging products through existing dealers & direct sales representatives through on-site activities including training, demonstrating and configuration assistance. * Insure all representatives (dealer & direct) can competently identify Image Analysis customers and quote Leica systems to meet their application requirements. * Support of Leica imaging customers, reps & dealers with technical assistance. * Maintain a high level of application & product knowledge through customer interaction and Leica training. * Trade show and summer course support * Support strategic initiatives

Professional Experience * 3-5 years in an Image Analysis lab or sales experience * 3-5 years team leadership experience

Education * BA/BS in a basic science with experience in image analysis applications for the material sciences minimum * BA/BS in material sciences, metallurgy or computer sciences with 3 years IA sales experience preferred
