The R&D Specialist, Mechanics for Radiometer is responsible for supporting ongoing R&D tasks and projects within Samplers product group in the area of product lifecycle management and new product development.

This position is part of the R&D Team located in Stargard, Poland and will be hybrid. At Radiometer, our vision is to improve global healthcare with reliable, fast, and easy patient diagnoses.

You will be a part of the R&D Samplers Hardware Team and report to the Associate Director, Blood Gas R&D responsible for Radiometer Samplers portfolio. If you thrive in an amazing, multifunctional role and want to work to build a world-class R&D organization — read on.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Execute on tasks and lead projects related to Samplers product group in the areas of product improvements, compliance, quality, delivery, obsolescence and cost

  • Build and maintain product documentation and subject matter expertise on Samplers product portfolio

  • Run tasks in an international, cross organizational environment

  • Prepare feasibility studies and technical impact assessments

  • Plan, conduct and document product verification testing

  • Run problem root causing by efficient use of systematic problem solving process

  • Support running production and participate in solving product quality issues

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • M.Sc./Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or similar

  • Min. 5 years of professional experience preferably within R&D department

  • Experience in highly regulated industry; medical or pharmaceutical industry experience is an advantage

  • Experience in the field of product development and/or product maintenance activities

  • Fluent English (B2/C1)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Statistical methods and evaluations

  • Product reliability testing

  • Plastic components design and plastic molding

  • 3D CAD software, with special interest to Creo and Windchill
