We are looking for a Site and Operations leader to manage a site of 30 staff in Stevenage, UK. Do you have a passion for Supply Chain and Operations? Then we would love to hear from you.
What you’ll do
Reporting through to the UK Global Supply Chain leader and based in Stevenage, this role is responsible for the day to day leadership of our Stevenage site in the UK.
As site leader, you will be accountable for managing the facility and ensuring the needs of the site are met with respect to the Cytiva EHS program, risk and compliance. This includes the development of strategies, programs and training to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and company standards to improve safety and reduce/eliminate EHS related business risks.
The successful candidate will predominantly drive a small but growing Manufacturing and Production team at our Stevenage site as well as having accountability for the Site leadership. This also includes working and supporting a vibrant and growing Research and Development team of 25 staff.
Accountability for the day to day running of the Stevenage facility.
Setting and Driving the Vision for the Stevenage site
Capital investment management for site infrastructure in line with site needs
Leading the Global Supply Chain and Manufacturing team in Stevenage with respect to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity targets
Interfacing and Supporting the short and long term needs of the onsite R&D organisation
Evaluating facility EHS conditions, risks and developing appropriate action plans.
Assisting with technical, regulatory/third party interfacing to support permitting, compliance and adherence to regulatory programs and Cytiva corporate policies
Who you are
Demonstrated leadership in a position of authority
Experienced Production Leadership in a scientific environment
Experience in Health, Safety and Environment activities ideally within a manufacturing environment
Regulatory knowledge, familiarity or experience working within the UK framework
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated ability to lead in a cross-functional team and manage multiple projects and other responsibilities
Qualifications and /or background in the field of physical sciences advantageous but not essential
