This position is a key member of the Hach Global Human Resources team. This position partners with our Service team in Germany and Eastern Europe, providing a wide variety of critical human resource responsibilities include advising and guiding leaders and associates in core practices, providing information and advice around regulations, policies, and programs. The role provides general HR support in a proactive, results-oriented way that is aligned with our business strategy.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
This position serves as Human Resources Business Partner for the wider Hach Service organization in Germany and Eastern Europe. As the HR Business Partner, you will be the main point of contact for our associate human resources inquiries within these teams.
Support HR Leadership in the phases of the associate life cycle including, but not limited to:
Collaborate with others (e.g. Talent Acquisition team) on the external and internal recruitment process
Support ongoing training and development for the customer group and partner with the Learning and Development team
Partner with the internal customers on performance management
Engagement and Retention – partner with others to improve associate engagement, tracking progress on engagement and action planning; Regular coach and counsel managers in enhancing their own leadership skills, addressing concerns, and improving on opportunities to develop robust teams.
Collaboration with others to implement, improve, and utilize our talent development processes.
Ensure optimal relationships with our customers through strength in understanding and creating solutions to deliver the highest satisfaction levels for our diverse set of associates.
Work with HR Leadership on employee relations investigations and may collaborate with managers and legal counsel on outcomes and next steps.
Enter necessary employee data in HR systems in a timely, accurate manner. Assist in creating, changing and maintaining gender-neutral job descriptions.

Drives execution of temporary countermeasures to problems even before the root cause is determined to maintain customer satisfaction
Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of experience in an HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
2+ years experience as a Human Resources Business Partner.
Cultural sensitivity and awareness to lead and engage effectively with experienced cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Possesses a problem-solving mentality.
Previous experience working in a fast-paced and high-performing culture in an international environment.
Fluent in German language (preferably native speaking), proficient in English language, other European languages are welcomed
