The Sr. Contracts Compliance Specialist is responsible for providing commercial contract support to the North America Sales team at Cepheid. This role will be an integral part of the North America Commercial Operations team. The individual will work with Regional Sales Directors, Senior Executives, and cross-functional stakeholders to provide contractual expertise in mitigating, administering, and reporting of contractual compliance and analytics as it relates to revenue and volume sales commitments.

This position is part of North America Commercial Operations and is located in Sunnyvale, California and is a Hybrid position. At Cepheid, we make it easier and faster to access the test results you need, when and where you need them.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support department manager with the strategy to build, implement and maintain a quality control program for review of deals and contracts

  • Oversee the contract compliance process including follow-up communication and analytical support to Regional Directors, Senior Executives, and cross-functional departments.

  • Connect any discovered issues from contract reporting to actionable processes such as notification, legal serving, remediation, buyout, or fiscal adjustment.

  • Utilize routine process to monitor actual vs committed volume purchases, including data validation, presentation, and evaluation of internal operational and procedural compliance.

  • Prepare, manipulate and analyze reports, including complex spreadsheets from SAP, SFDC database, and BI reports. Crafts ad-hoc reports as needed by management.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related work experience OR Master’s degree in field with 3+ years of related work experience.

  • Prior experience in the medical device or health industry.

  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in Salesforce.com.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Ability to understand data and systems and how to integrate.

  • Prior experience working with a Legal and/or Commercial team.

  • Experience reviewing commercial contracts and legal documents in the health care or medical device industry.
