Danaher Corporation Global Revenue Compliance & Quality Manager in Sunnyvale, California

POSITION SUMMARY:

Cepheid is looking for self-motivated, detailed, process-oriented, innovative Global Revenue Compliance & Quality Manager with extensive experience in identifying, leading and managing projects and providing guidance on revenue quality in the Commercial Operations organization. The successful candidate will work directly with stakeholders from all applicable functional areas to ensure projects are properly defined, prioritized, and deliverables fall within the applicable scope. The Global Revenue Compliance & Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring our Commercial Operations teams have positive impacts on overall quality and revenue compliance, including commercial contract compliance. As our organization continues to grow, our processes and systems will be modified & improved. As such, keeping a close eye on quality will be essential to success. The Global Revenue Compliance & Quality Manager will work directly with the Global Process Managers to understand current state, future state, and the impact to our quality measurements.

Once strategy and structure is in place, this role will perform continuous improvement initiatives to ensure high quality revenue integrity solutions, processes, and provide an efficient framework towards continued success.

This role reports to the Sr. Director Process Governance and the scope is global in nature but works closely with all department associates for strategy and guidance.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate existing business processes, identify potential risks, quantify the risk, and close the gap

  • Establish KPIs for best quality practices & drive toward optimization

  • Work with GPG analysts to create dashboards to measure effectiveness.

  • Create documentation outlining Quote To Cash (QTC) policies and standard work.

  • Work with the Global Revenue Quality team to create countermeasures.

  • Oversee the process improvement implementation by working with managers, team members and other employees to ensure that the plan is clear and can be applied quickly and efficiently.

  • Work closely with the GBO DBSL to create a Kaizen roadmap. Recommend & participate in Kaizens.

  • Benchmark and incorporate best practices from other Danaher OpCos.

  • Be an active Leader in staff meetings, Policy Deployment, and Daily Management reviews (as appropriate)

  • Manage key strategic initiatives, track project milestones and deliverable adherence.

  • Assists Global Business Operations leadership with various related project and tasks

  • Act as a liaison to internal audit to identify potential company policy compliance, process inefficiency and financial risks in the Finance and Accounting organization

  • Participate in policy development and deployment, when necessary

  • Provide ad hoc audit support, including, but not limited to, regional internal audits (business process and IT) for all in-scope company locations, external audits

  • Partner with stakeholders within Finance and Accounting as well as across Cepheid value chain for cross functional projects

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education or Experience (in years):

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of work experience in Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement or related field, OR

  • Master's degree in field with 6+ years of related work experience

  • Mastery of DBS or TPS Fundamentals preferred; proficiency using lean tools and applying lean principles is required

  • Practitioner experience in functions/areas supporting Business Operations required

  • Project Management experience a must – certification a plus

  • Prior experience in medical device, life science or other highly regulated industry is preferred (with a working knowledge of corresponding regulations)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding QTC value chain and ability to develop process

  • Extensive experience with process improvement and process re-engineering. Able to identify issues, understand the problem, interpret business issues and recommend best practices, demonstrate resourcefulness and proactively resolve problems and manage multiple projects in a timely manner (Ability to go to Gemba)

  • In-depth ERP (SAP preferred) knowledge in key functional areas (e.g., cost accounting, consolidations, revenue, fixed assets, AP, GL)

  • Understanding of commercial contracts with respect to compliance regulations and remediations.

  • Proven leadership and managerial skills with the ability to create and maintain a goal-oriented climate of teamwork and cooperation across departments for effective problem solving, conflict resolution, support for organizational values and performance evaluations and disciplinary actions

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations, concepts and policies and their impact throughout the organization, with an in-depth understanding of related functions and issues

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and delegate assignments efficiently

  • Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and interpret complex data and systems, to quickly identify problems and implement solutions

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills to prepare and present reports and convey complex information and instructions in a clear, concise, and specific manner; ability to cultivate a strong commitment to quality, teamwork, collaborative problem-solving, and achievement of objectives

  • Ability to work effectively with leadership on establishing quality goals and providing for technological upgrades, tools and systems to maximize revenues

  • Excellent English communicator via phone/webcam, email, presentation, and face-to-face.

  • Ability to handle confidential information discretely

  • In-depth experience with Microsoft Office (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, others)

  • Ability to champion DBS and develop and install best practices across diverse business environments

  • Ability and flexibility to work with cross-functional teams globally

  • Independence and good judgment, positive attitude, and an innovative spirit
