Danaher Corporation Maintenance Engineering Technician in Sunnyvale, California


  • Work closely with Production and Engineering groups to monitor equipment status and performance

  • Proactively address problems using the appropriate troubleshooting and repair techniques

  • Document all repairs and the appropriate adjustments made in Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

  • Assess the equipment’s performance and repair history and work with engineers to plan a preventative maintenance schedule as well as work on equipment upgrades

  • Ability to train equipment technicians and operators

  • Write maintenance procedures and reports

  • Perform equipment Installation Qualification (IQ) protocols


  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time


  • High School degree (or equivalent experience) with 4-6 years of related work experience. AA or Technical Trade Degree with 2-4 years of related work experience

  • Familiarity with electrical/electronic components, Automation, Robotics, Sensors, Fiber Optics and motors

  • Previous work experience in a Manufacturing environment; ability to repair equipment timely under pressure situations

Physical requirements/abilities:

  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs

  • Must be able to stand for several hours


  • Ultrasonic welding experience is a plus

  • GMP experience a plus

  • PLC knowledge and experience is a plus
