The Manager for US Sales Support is responsible for Providing support to the North America Sales team at Cepheid. You will be supporting and advising the sales organization to generate accurate contracts and quotes with a focus on reducing cycle time.

This position is part of the North America Commercial Operations team and will be located in Sunnyvale, California, at Cepheid we make it easier and faster to access the test results you need, when and where you need them.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage day-to-day responsibilities for a team of Sales Operations Specialists; this includes hiring, training and setting individual and team goals and conduct bi-weekly 1:1s.

  • Define, document, and train Sales Operations Specialists on processes and procedures for Contract Administration and Quoting.

  • Design and review critical Sales Operations KPIs to motivate change across the broader organization. Oversee development of greater analytics capabilities through Salesforce Einstein Analytics, in order to deliver additional functionality to Sales and Marketing.

  • Become Subject Matter Expert on Cepheid contracts and marketing promotions to ensure eligibility & requirements are sustained; educate team and field on offerings such that customers will be compliant.

  • Administer and provide direction for multiple complex projects through positive collaboration such as demand generation, new product introduction launches, product promotion campaigns, corporate system improvements, business development opportunities, funnel management, SOX audits and corporate process changes.

  • Present at Regional & National Sales meetings and Sales New Hire summits to provide training on corporate process and business practice policies.

  • Develop, implement and maintain an effective report analysis strategy that will provide senior leadership with the appropriate information to determine required resources to support the Field Sales growth and changes.

  • Report monthly to senior leaders to ensure the strategy of the metrics being pulled continues to match the strategy of the business. Audit the data that is compiled by the team and ensure that it is accurate and meets the needs of the internal partners.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • 5 years experience performing data analysis and managing a team.

  • 5 years in a comparable position using CRM and ERP. Examples Salesforce.com and SAP.

  • Previous experience with financial planning and analysis, working with confidential information and management or team lead experience.

  • Comfortable presenting to executive level management and groups of 20+ persons.

  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to move effectively within a high pressure environment while meeting strict deadlines.

  • Able to work well in fast paced and ambiguous environment, with changing priorities.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Subject matter expert in ERP and CRM systems such as SAP and Salesforce.com.

  • Advanced in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio.

  • Experience with VBA for Excel.
