POSITION SUMMARY:

Our service business is fundamental to ensuring that once a warranty expires customers have sufficient maintenance cover to ensure the safe and reliable operation of their Cepheid GeneXpert systems.
The Process Engineer will independently find opportunities, plan, coordinate, execute, and report on process improvement initiatives for the Customer Care of the Americas. Their work will provide a basis for greater operational efficiencies rooted in data-driven decisions.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive continuous improvement of the Customer Care process using the Danaher Business System (DBS) toolkit and industry best-practices
Build, own, and maintain process documents (Process Flow Diagrams, Value Stream Maps, Work Instructions, etc.).
Collaborate closely between Global Customer Care Enablement and Americas Customer Care teams to ensure alignment with global quality system and processes
Ensure compliance to Quality Management System and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate cross-functionally to capture functional requirements, test and analyze transactional processes, build metrics to support ongoing and strategic projects
Partner with peers when coordinating process analysis and improvement events, testing and problem-solving across business operations functions
Show strength in areas of process analysis, testing, dashboard requirement gathering, and business processes
Assist in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic opportunities including the development of comprehensive business cases involving building financial models and performing return on investment analyses
Routinely seek internal customer feedback and incorporate the data into strategies and action plans
Participate in periodic customer visits to support data collection, identify process gaps and drive toward resolution
Contribute to developing and monitoring important metrics and dashboards for managing performance with current and future customers
Assist in developing reporting, data systems, and new processes and procedures to meet business needs

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience (in years):
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or similar with 5+ years of related work experience OR
Master’s degree with 3 or more years of demonstrated ability
Knowledge and skills:
Multi-functional continuous improvement
Process mapping and analysis
Excel modeling and data analysis
Presentation skills with experience in drafting sophisticated strategic business concepts in a digestible format for senior leadership
Experience developing transactional business processes in a mature industry that has exacting quality regulations
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a track record for finding solutions to difficult problems
Self-starter mentality with a willingness to drive to a completed work product or successful outcome
Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and high attention to detail
Understanding of business case justification practices
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Working experience in the Medical industry/FDA regulated environment
Experience facilitating multi-functional kaizen events
Other: Around 10% International travel for effective execution of projects
