Danaher Corporation Project Manager IT Ops in Sunnyvale, California

POSITION SUMMARY:

Project Management of Connectivity suppliers portal for Data and devices Management, Supplychain Manufacturing data projects for the Instruments team. Supply chain data management as it pertains to instruments, dashboard with other key supply chain tools, Services, and Sourcing in support of Cepheid’s current and future products. Key Job functions: SCM project planning, Program Management, BI dashboards, regional localization, design for cost and manufacturability, technology assessment and development, services and material cost, supply chain data planning & execution, data-based decision making, material and technology lifecycle, test data and Supplier quality.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain support and service infrastructure for integrated connected solutions, oversee orders based on contracts and support other supply chain and Engineering teams for order fulfillment

  • Partner with the product team and other crossfunctional teams and suppliers for connected instruments for B2B, B2C, and D2C.

  • Assists in development and execution of product strategy, product launches, and connected support services and suppliers.

  • Forms and leads cross-functional teams (comprised of Suppliers, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Informatics, and other members as required) to define supply chain data strategy, dashboards, migration to Cloud strategies working with Cepheid IT and leveraging Danaher best practices

  • Supports the transition of new products/services from development to pilot production then to volume production as needed

  • Assist with development cost and payment models with any associated operational or perpetual overhead in addition to product costs.

  • Address any compliance related issue specific to managed material/services with the appropriate subject matter experts.

  • Negotiate supply/service agreements with strategic suppliers and act as the primary interface with the Suppliers under area of responsibility.

  • Ability to work independently, Multi-task several simultaneous projects, and manage time/priorities

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education or Experience (in years):

Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related work experience OR ⚫ Master’s degree in field with 6+ years of related work experience OR ⚫ Doctoral degree in field with 3+ years of work experience

Knowledge and skills:

  • Understanding or experience in cellular data management, connected devices, notification methods and services, and technology and product/service lifecycles.

  • Fundamental understanding of Supply Chain data, BI, data sources, data bases and effective strategies for Data Management and Cloud.

  • Work collaboratively with supply chain operations managers, marketing, IT, Legal and engineering stakeholders

  • Has primary responsibility for working with appropriate groups for issue resolution as needed

  • Understanding of clinical and medical environment as the use case, competitor products and continuous product and service improvement, and scalability trade-off analysis.

  • Supports in Negotiation and management, the maintenance of agreements, reporting, use of supplier portals for data and device management with suppliers that provide the structure for all business relationships between Cepheid and the supply base.

  • Regularly monitor macro and micro economic activity that may impact the supply chain continuity of supply and costs

  • Ensure compliance with Regional specific directives aligned with the company strategy, i.e., Make in India, Make in China, Remote factory manufacturing, etc…

Physical requirements/abilities:

  • Some travel domestically and internationally is required (35%)

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (optional):

  • Direct or related industry technical program management experience

  • Knowledge of Business systems Architecture, Applications, Cloud, XaaS and Infosec

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Power Point, Agile, and SAP

  • Ability to read and interpret product Bill of Materials (BOM's), SOP’s and inputs into SOP Revisions

  • Must be a self-starter and be able to operate independent of day to day supervision

  • Process development, Industry best practices adaptation and process improvement experiences

  • Direct experience leading cross-functional teams and ability to influence stakeholders

  • Self-starter with the ability to adapt, critical thinking skills, and problem solve under pressure

  • Contract/Supply Agreement Negotiations
