Danaher Corporation Quality Control Scientist in Sunnyvale, California
Assist in reference material qualification/production process.
Participate in test method validation
Review and update testing procedures, work instructions, and worksheet for correction or process improvements as needed.
Evaluate/maintain control material inventory to support operations testing needs.
Lead investigations for failures during Quality control testing; perform troubleshooting, or improvement activities.
Effectively collaborates with cross functional team. Acts as liaison and aligns with functions such as failure Investigation, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and planning to ensure processes and designs are robust and sustainable.
Assist in batch record, SOP reviews, Laboratory failure investigation and documentation.
Analyze data using statistical tools such as Microsoft Excel, Minitab, or JMP
Able to work independently with minimal direction as well as in a team environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
Minimum Requirements: Education and Experience (in years)
Experience working in a diagnostic company in the area of infectious disease, public health lab or similar institution
Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of related work experience
Knowledge and Skills
Experience with real-time PCR and molecular diagnostic assays.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to independently design and perform experiments and analyze data
Knowledge of biological and chemical safety.
Excellent documentation, writing, communication, and organizational skills
Self-driven, collaborative and flexible in an environment of changing demands and priorities.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
