JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Quality Control Stockroom SME - Sunnyvale

Business Context: Based in Sunnyvale, California the Quality Control Stockroom SME is responsible for issuing and processing Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMRs). This includes the physical movement of material in and out of the MRB holding areas as well as the related inventory transactions. QA analyst will be working with non-conformances (NCs), also known as deviations. Will also be responsible for partnering with various cross functional teams within Cepheid to support NC-related tasks, such as investigations, implementation corrective actions and training. Position includes, but is not limited to, the performance of the daily cycle counts in conjunction with Inventory Control and assistance in all areas of inventory accuracy.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Point of contact when non-conforming or suspect product is identified at within the Stockroom operations warehouse.

  • Physically moving components, bulk raw materials, Finished Goods into MRB areas

  • Proper labeling of MRB material that is stored in designated MRB areas.

  • Performing SAP inventory move transactions of material in and out of MRB locations

  • Assisting with containment activities to ensure all nonconforming or suspect material is found and place in an MRB location.

  • Performance of daily cycle counts 1st pass.

  • Provide point of contact for requests from Inventory Control concerning inventory accuracy.

  • Bin audits as requested.

  • Assistance in the maintenance of the workplace in accordance with 5S guidelines.

  • Handles actual physical movements within the warehouse.

  • Maintains global standards for materials storage and movements as required.

  • Monitor and maintain inventory control applications

  • Has the ability to be proactive in areas of application development and improvements.

  • Self-starter; ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner with minimal direct supervision.

  • Keen attention to detail.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities Accurate and timely data entry skills.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Desire to lead by example and exceed expectations.

  • Desire to succeed in a fast-moving team environment.

  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education or Experience (in years):

  • High school degree (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years of related work experience.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (FDA CFR 21 820 and ISO 13485) is preferred. (cGMP and GDP concepts)

  • Experience with MS Office word processing and Excel Spreadsheets

  • Experience with SAP or similar Inventory Management databases is preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Physical requirements/abilities:

  • Ability to work in an office & warehouse environment.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (optional):

  • Related experience in a diagnostic, medical device, or pharmaceutical environment.
