Danaher Corporation Senior Logistics Training Program Manager in Sunnyvale, California

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Logistics Training Program Manager will be responsible for coaching, motivating, and supporting the logistics training department employees to accomplish the productivity goals for the day and establishing a culture of positive employee relations while ensuring all processes, best practices, and policies are adhered to consistently. Senior Logistics Training Program Manager will be a key member of the logistics team, ensuring effective and consistent delivery of the department's SOP guidelines. This role will be responsible for analyzing training needs, developing curriculum and delivering courses. Key responsibilities will be to effective development, implementation, and track all training programs across the global logistics organization. The Senior Logistics Training Program Manager goal will be to enhance the employees’ skills, performance, productivity and quality of work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, coordinate and administer a comprehensive training curriculum for both new hire and existing logistics employees.

  • Create a training schedule for recertifications and post on Share drive or SharePoint.

  • Ensure training is tracked and recorded, including progress and skill sets.

  • Analyze and understand data to suggest improvements for training and operations.

  • Create, manage and update training content and associate compliance audits.

  • Ensure Logistics Training records are kept updated.

  • Perform data collection and analysis to monitor test result trends

  • Research new training techniques and materials driving enhancements to existing training programs

  • Partner with other departments to create effective learning solutions to re-tool and re-skill associates in order to support business changes.

  • ISO compliance administrator coordinating and participating in internal audits.

  • Responsible for periodic reviews of file documents to ensure compliancy to quality regulations.

  • SOP compliance auditor developing a method for testing and evaluating adherence.

  • Develop and manage a system of auditing warehouse locations on a weekly basis for status, identifications, safety, proper storage and publish reports.

  • Create a Metric for tracking discrepancies in applicable auditing activities and include suggested corrective actions.

  • Develop a schedule for the logistics training room to be utilized by the department for all training

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the Training policy and ensure adherence to.

  • Ability to perform trainer certifications and training file reviews.

  • Coordinates and collaborates with engineering, production supervisors and managers, HR and Document Control to ensure compliance for all training documentation.

  • Generate and maintain all training records/certificates of logistics and ensures updates (subsequent to revisions) SOP files related to supply chain in a timely manner.

  • Develops, trains, and troubleshoots any SAP transactions for all logistics business needs

  • Contribute and own business process deliverables (e.g. end to end business process maps, playbooks for IML roles that document day in the life, procedure documents and metrics definition).

  • Once new business process is implemented, monitor process adherence (e.g. Gemba walk, super user training).

  • Define KPIs where necessary (ideally through internal or external benchmarking), analyze process performance and suggest process improvement or user training.

  • Lead process improvement projects as lean practitioner.

  • Develop and implement world class, global supply chain planning processes and managing them through deployment of global logistics systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience in training / program management role.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills.

  • Experience in technical training: classroom training, virtual training and courseware development.

  • Knowledgeable in SAP system, movement types including troubleshooting different transactions.

  • Knowledgeable in 5S implementation and sustainment.

  • Knowledgeable in Forklift operation and Safety Rules & Regulations. Able to train warehouse equipment including all types of forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.

  • Proven skills in shipping, receiving, inventory control processes, demonstrated problem solving and people skills, ability to work and communicate with people at all levels from assemblers to engineers to management.

  • Creation and implementation of SOP’s.

  • Experience with ISO audits and quality functions related to auditing and corrective actions

  • Good understanding and exposure to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory requirements.

  • Experience in developing and implementing world class, global supply chain planning processes and managing them through deployment of global logistics systems.

  • Expert knowledge of Transportation, Logistics and Customs operations.

  • Exposure and experience in Biotech / Pharmaceutical manufacturing process, principles and practices; preferably at production site and headquarters level.

  • Experience in working internationally in a fast paced, reputable global Biotech / Pharmaceutical or Consumer company organized in a matrix structure.

  • Good understanding and exposure to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory requirements.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and SAP required.

  • Previous Kaizen/Continuous Improvement experience.

  • Expert knowledge of Transportation and Logistics operations.

  • Experience in Biotech / Pharmaceutical manufacturing process, principles and practices; preferably at production site and headquarters level.

Experience in working internationally in a fast-paced, reputable global Biotech / Pharmaceutical or Consumer company organized in a matrix structure.
