Define global segment marketing strategy
Develop global segment-specific marketing strategy (e.g., global dev. hospitals strategy) (3-5-year horizon)
Incorporate evolving market dynamics (e.g., competition), with local insights from Regional segment mktg.
Drive alignment between product strategy and segment strategy
- Aggregate & share regional & global segment needs with global product mgmt. to inform product roadmap
Define target customer experience for segment
Define high-level target customer experience for segment globally (e.g., suite of products and instruments that we are bringing to specific segments; how we will cater to needs of each segment in services & supply)
Partner with Regional segment marketing to localize target customer experience and execute consistently
Develop core messaging and product positioning for segment
Develop segment-specific core messaging and positioning to be used for segment (i.e., products need to be positioned with tailored value props and messages for each segment)
Provide inputs into Marketing communications mktg. materials development (based on core messaging for segment)
Coordinate key global investments for the segment (e.g., global campaigns)
Orchestrate new market development activities across marketing teams
Identify new market opportunities and validate market potential
Coordinate new market development activities across Global product management and Regional segment marketing as maturity of market development evolves
Coordinate market priming activities to be localized and carried out by Regional segment marketing
Coordinate market development investments needed at global level (e.g., clinical studies)
Other key deliverables:
Build organization, capabilities
Support regional and local marketing organizations with growth initiatives, product launches, training, and commercial excellence initiatives
Participate in international and regional key conferences and meetings
Initiate key scientific and health economic studies and projects
TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)

Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience OR
Master’s/Doctoral degree with 12+ years of experience and
l 4+ years managing people
Strong knowledge of molecular IVD products and markets
Communicates complex ideas, anticipates objections and persuades others, often at executive levels, to adopt a different point of view.
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to multi-task across broad number of products and disease states
Ability to work autonomously as well as the proven ability to work successfully within an international (virtual) team and matrix environment
Excellent business development and management.
Hands-on in style, willing to ‘pitch in’ to get things done
