Danaher Corporation Services Supply Chain Demand Planner in Sunnyvale, California
The Services Supply Chain Demand Planner is responsible for module demand and supply planning, execution, and process improvement for overall service supply chain. This individual will have direct responsibility for spares planning to meet SLA, while challenging current planning process to improve cost and supply continuity and inventory optimization.
This position is part of Service Supply Chain within Global Supply Chain and located in Sunnyvale, CA. This position has 100% remote flexibility for prospective employees current resident location. Relocation package is not applicable for remote.
The objective is to provide the highest level of support to the instrument installed base. There are more than 30,000 Cepheid instruments in more than 180 countries that require the support with right parts at right time at right locations.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Responsible for developing repairable spares demand/supply plans including forecasting, TSL (target stock level) setting, inventory optimization using both excel and DRP tool (Baxter)
Responsible for identifying and maintaining the appropriate planning parameters in spares planning systems to drive right TSL and optimize Inventory level, balance between repair and new buy to meet SLA
Extract, review, and analyze master data in various enterprise business systems such as Agile, SAP, SFDC, and other Logistic Information System to ensure accuracy and integrity for Spares demand planning
Work with regional planners and repair centers managers to align on repair component demand to support internal build plan on Modules
Ensure effective lines of communication with Customer Care team on cross functional knowledge transferring and alignment to support business expansion around global installed base
Extensive experience in analyzing large data sets and conduction ad hoc analysis
Responsible for Inventory turnover, E&O and Accuracy for WW spares inventory and trunk stock locations
Responsible for on-time delivery and maintenance TSL at WW spares stocking locations
Identify and drive continuous improvements with Mfg. demand planning and Supply Chain team on current and upcoming critical parts
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related work experience or master’s degree in field with 3+ years of related work experience
Aptitude for blending quantitative and qualitative data, ability to communicate quantitative analysis in a clear, detailed and actionable manner
Highly analytical and detail oriented with a passion for forecasting and analytics, and the ability to translate data into actionable forecast recommendations or process improvement
In-depth knowledge and experience in forecasting or demand and supply planning on repairable parts in after-market supply chain
Ability to solve complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing repair parts planning; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
3-5 years of experience in an ERP/DRP planning environment
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience with Spares Part Planning Software such as Baxter, PTC, etc.
Experience with Agile, SAP/HANA BO, and BI
Advanced Excel skills including the use of macros
Preferably in an engineering discipline associated with supply chain/manufacturing processes (ideally industrial engineering)
