Danaher Corporation Spares Part Supply Planner in Sunnyvale, California
Refurbishment and service parts is a newly formed group within global supply chain. The objective is to provide the highest level of support to the instrument installed base. There are more than 30,000 Cepheid instruments in more than 180 countries that require the support with right parts at right time at right locations.
The successful candidate will help own spares part supply planning, execution and process improvement for overall service supply chain. This individual will have direct responsibility for planning for spares at given regions to meet SLA, while challenging current process to improve cost and supply continuity and inventory optimization.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Execute the process of service parts supply planning and procurement inclusive of, inventory control, depot planning, trunk stock and distribution, ensuring effectively functioning processes to avoid costly delays and stock outs.
Ensure effective lines of communication between commodity management, logistics and Finance to ensure priority requirements, timely delivery of service parts, FRU’s and refurbed systems
Be responsible for introducing process improvements in the supply chain and identify new vendors/suppliers without jeopardizing quality and service delivery
Work with Commodity management to manage relationships with vendors, suppliers and contractors
Implement effective internal control, proper design and functioning of a client-oriented procurement management system for projects and related reporting requirement
Responsible for Inventory turnover, E&O and Accuracy for WW spares inventory and trunk stock locations
Responsible for on-time delivery and maintenance safety stocking at WW spares stocking locations
Ensure all activities are compliant with standard reporting requirements and audits
Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus
Proficiency in Excel and SAP and a high level of experience working with numbers
Analytical skills capable of understanding new business data/processes in relation to projects
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related work experience or Master’s degree in field with 3+ years of related work experience
Proven track record of teamwork and willingness to take initiatives in solving complex problems
Exceptional ability to think strategically and execute tactically with a persistent attention to detail
Able to work independently and receive minimal guidance
In-Depth knowledge and experience of demand, supply planning and supply chain management
Preferred Requirements:
Medical device manufacturing environment
Experience with Spares Part Planning Software such as Baxter, PTC, etc.
Familiar with SAP, ERP, and Agile PLM
Experience in Service Supply Chain or refurb planning a strong plus
Analytical skills capable of understanding new business data/processes in relation to projects
