The Sr. Analyst, Tax & Treasury is responsible for supporting global income tax compliance, tax provision, and treasury. The candidate will work with Danaher and Cepheid global teams to manage the day-to-day global tax and treasury operations and ensure timely and accurate delivery of filings and reporting. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects supporting the global finance and operations teams to provide supporting tax and treasury analysis.

This position is part of the Tax and Treasury Department and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA, with a Hybrid work schedule. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual tax and treasury close activities, including all required submissions to Cepheid and Danaher teams

  • Prepare and manage US and non-US tax provision and compliance requirements, including booking of US tax entries, review of international tax returns, provisions and return to provision adjustments

  • Manage global treasury policy implementation and perform regular global accounts reviews. Facilitate updates to bank account signer and users as required.

  • Support international tax initiatives and analysis, including transfer pricing and operational business changes

  • Support process improvement, technology solutions, and special projects as needed

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with 5+ years of related work experience OR Master's degree with 3+ years experience OR Doctoral degree in field with 0+ years experience.

  • Corporate tax experience in accounting firm and/or corporate tax department, preferably a combination of both

  • Mid-to-advanced Excel proficiency

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Prior experience in treasury operations

  • General understanding of ASC740

  • General understanding of international tax and transfer pricing
