Danaher Corporation Truck Driver / Material Handler in Sunnyvale, California

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service to all parties with focus on supporting in house deliveries.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate delivery/pickup routes throughout the Bay Area

  • Perform freight handling with appropriate equipment

  • Loading and unloading responsibility

  • Verifying and counting correct freight being loaded/offloaded

  • Securing freight inside vehicle

  • Packing, strapping, and wrapping when needed.

  • Communication with dispatch

  • Perform other duties when required

  • Comply with hazardous materials regulations and procedure and complete courses if needed.

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)

  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time

  • For people managers, ensure your associates attend and complete all required trainings satisfactorily and on time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience (in years):

  • •High school degree (or equivalent experience) with 5 years of relevant work experience.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Experience with SOPs

  • Must be organized

  • Must possess acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards

Physical requirements/abilities:

  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, bend, twist, squat, climb in and out of truck

  • Ability to follow instructions and complete required training

  • Ability to work independently and/or as a team member

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hazardous Materials Endorsement (HME) / Hazmat

  • Related experience in a diagnostic, medical device, or pharmaceutical environment.

  • Class A license
