- We are currently seeking a Bioreactor Application Scientist or Senior Bioreactor Application Scientist to support our growing business.
This position is part of the Scientific Laboratory Services (SLS), APAC Bioreactor Application Scientist Team, engaging in customer support and services that the group provide. The sucessful applicant will need to demonstrate excellent customer service and develop strong relationship through constant engagement and presenting as a subject matter expert.
You will be part of a fast-paced and exciting environment at the forefront of rapidly growing single-use and cell culture markets. You will support PALL customers and the commercial team as a technical expert on PALL’s single-use bench- and large-scale bioreactors and other cell culture technologies. You will be the key contact for technical requests from biopharmaceutical/biotechnology customers and perform installation, training, trials, biological runs, process optimization, technology transfer/scale-up and general application support.
You need to be a great team player who will work closely with global PALL associates, including R&D engineers, quality engineers, product development scientists, commercial, product management and manufacturing engineers to ensure PALL technologies continue to serve the evolving needs of our customers. This position will be in one of the countries in SEA-Taiwan and requires approximately 50 % travel within the region and possibility in other APAC regions.
Role and Duties:
Engage in technical customer support and other support activities.
Coordinate with commercial team and lead on-site trials during which customers evaluate and test the technologies.
Support and train customers in PALL’s applications as part of WIN, IMPLEMENT and SUSTAIN the business.
Demonstrate thought leadership skills by providing training, presentations and demonstrations for both internal PALL associates and customers at workshops, sales meetings, seminars and conferences.
Collaborate with PALL associates as well as customers to generate application notes, reports, publications and presentations.
Help drive R&D projects and support new product development through technical consultation.
Support installation, training, troubleshooting, process development, technology transfer/scale-up, and documentation for PALL bioreactors at customer sites
Serve as a technical expert for cell culture processes and PALL single-use bench- and large-scale bioreactor systems internally and for biopharmaceutical/biotechnology customers.
Flexibility to adapt to travel schedule in response to evolving commercial priorities.
Ability to support customers in SEA-Taiwan and APAC via remote communications.
Basic Qualifications/ Experience:
Minimum postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD) in a relevant science/engineering with 2+ years of experience or bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of scientific laboratory experience in cell culture.
Experience in cell culture application, cell culture software, process development, and process control.
Experience in biologics, cell therapy or gene therapy processes.
Experience in downstream purification and bioanalytical process development would be desirable.
Ability to work in a team and leadership qualities with proven experience, and success working cross functionally with various teams are desirable.
Good customer service experience is desirable.
Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient in English verbal and written communication and other languages is a plus
Independent self-starter who can work to achieve or exceed defined goals.
Senior Bioreactor Application Scientist candidate would be required to satisfy in advanced experience in the technical/scientific criteria.
