As the Sr. Global Strategic Marketing Representative - Microbiology, you will be responsible for the custom products portfolio and for coordinating third-party solutions partnerships. This will require working cross-functionally with diverse teams from R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Regulatory/ Quality Affairs, Legal, Procurement, Sales etc. to manage customer needs and drive business growth.
In partnership with leaders across global / regional organizations, you will also support the assessment and negotiations for potential collaborations to expand the company’s portfolio with products that would fulfill customers unmet needs in a profitable way. You will also deliver quarterly reports and analytics to deliver insights on market share expansion & decline across key product and market segments.
This position belongs to the Microbiology Operating Company nested within Beckman Coulter located in West Sacramento, CA. As one of the world’s leading ID/AST companies, our vision is to ensure that every patient has access to the right antibiotic treatment at the right time. You will be an integral part of the Global Marketing team and report to the Sr Manager, Strategic Marketing for Microbiology.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Coordinate and synchronize multiple complex projects while managing internal and external customer expectations
Work with our strategic partners to deliver forecast and monitor our success in driving sales growth
Deliver Voice of Customer (VOC) and Voice of Sales (VOS) to incorporate customer insights and market analysis into the creation of new product business cases
Develop strong relationships with industry experts and customers
Conduct product portfolio, competitive analysis and market research to inform global strategy
Support negotiations and contract terms for current and future alliances in partnership with Business Development and Product Marketing
Prioritize geographical market expansion according to the defined strategic roadmap
Bachelor’s degree in Life Science / Biotechnology or a related field with 5+ years of proven experience or a master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
Work experience in the life sciences, biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
Ability to comfortably work cross-functionally within a matrixed organization and influence key partners across the business
Strong business and financial acumen
Ability to move between strategic thinking and tactical execution with ease
Deep analytical expertise and ability to run by the numbers
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience in Microbiology (Clinical Diagnostics and Clinical Microbiology)
Experience working in a Healthcare regulated Product Development and Sales environment, e.g., FDA, IVD
Work experience in product development, marketing or sales
