The Technical Sales Consultant – New Account Specialist’s primary goal is to accomplish sales and profit objectives for the respective territory through daily phone calls/emails and follow through. The successful candidate will onboard accounts that have never purchased products or have not purchased products from Phenomenex within the last year or greater. Associate must have the mentality to WIN new business, as well as WIN BACK lost business from accounts in the respective territory. Further, this role requires consistent communication with respective account managers that the New Account Specialist will support. This position can be remote.
Duties and responsibilities:
Achieve sales & profit objectives for assigned territory through daily phone calls to potential customers
Use MSCRM tool to create funnel of potential customers / opportunities and develop commercial game plan to drive new account growth in a given territory.
Provide technical support / assistance to customers in the areas of HPLC, SPE and GC.
Work with marketing team to develop plans in accordance with territory requirements for new account growth your sales manager to accomplish sales objectives for HPLC, SPE, GC and related accessories.
Daily Management with sales manager to insure on-going customer follow-up and satisfaction. This includes standard work through funnel review and tracking critical metrics such as productivity and sales targets.
Consistently update MSCRM database for respective territory with recap and information from daily customer interactions.
Follow-up on territory marketing plans in order to accomplish sales, customer support & technical assistance objectives for HPLC, SPE, GC and related accessories.
Attend trade shows as needed
Visit customers onsite as needed (some overnight travel may be involved)
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology or other Life Science
At least 1 year of experience in office setting
A solid background in all areas of Phenomenex products or willingness to learn
Knowledge of pertinent governmental requirements/regulations
1+ year of pharma/life science lab work preferred
Experience with virtual TEAMs/Zoom meetings preferred
