The Associate Field Service Engineer for Leica Biosystems is responsible for providing technical service and support on equipment within the company, ISO, FDA, and budgetary guidelines with the objectives of minimizing customer downtime and generating revenue opportunities for Leica. The position has a high-impact contribution to the company’s success by providing industry leading service to our customer base.
This position is part of Technical Services team and will be covering Los Angeles and the surrounding areas, with a rotational immersion program that will also require travel and field time. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Provide installation support, maintenance, modification and/or repair on 1-2 groups of mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic and/or refrigeration instruments with an emphasis on our Pathology Imaging instruments.
Document and complete service administration activities in a timely manner to comply with ISO, FDA, and Leica policies.
Broaden knowledge and experience to improve product, application and professional development skills and ultimately, represent the company in a professional manner.
The essential requirements of the job include:
High school diploma or GED
Ability to travel 70-90% and maintain flexible schedule, often with short notice
Possess a valid driver license
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
1-2 years of experience with troubleshooting, testing and repair of highly complex equipment preferred
Associates Degree or Bachelor degree in engineering discipline

The hourly range for this role is $28 - 31/hr. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
