Danaher Corporation Manufacturing Associate II (3rd Shift: 11pm-7:20am, Sun-Thurs.) **Training on 2nd Shift: 3-11:20pm, M-F, for 8 weeks** in Timonium, Maryland
The Operator II is a skilled operations associate within our Timonium, MD manufacturing facility. Associates in this role possess skills in multiple areas of operations. Teamwork, and the willingness to assist others on the production lines, is an expectation for this role.
Operator II have troubleshooting skills, and a focus on Environmental Health, Safety (EHS) and quality in all actions. Associates in these roles are expected to run machines with minimal support, and partner with team members and team leads to support the goals of the manufacturing facility.
Punctuality and reliability are key behavior attitudes and expectations for this role. Associates MUST be willing to work schedule, move to different work cells or departments as well as work required overtime/holidays.
3rd shift 11:00pm-7:20am (Sunday PM- Friday AM)
Job Description:
Read, understand, and consistently follow a Standard Operating Procedure
Learn and follow standard work for all areas within a Value Stream
Conduct Daily 5S activities within a Value Stream
Follow instructions from manufacturing team leads and operations leadership team members
Follow quality standards for all equipment within a Value Stream
Run machinery and equipment with limited support
Changeover/set-up machinery and equipment, as needed
Partner with team members, and train associates, as required, in all areas within a Value Stream
Become quality certified to self-inspect product
Ensure safe work conditions and identify/improve environmental health and safety
Must be able to read and write simple statements
Must be able to complete basic mathematical equations – i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication & division
Able to analyze, memorize, conduct and comprehend simple mathematical tasks
Ability to read tape measure and use basic instruments
Be able to make decisions and have sound judgment
Work well with others to support the value stream
Willingness and flexibility to train and work in other departments as work priorities change
Document output on an hourly scorecard
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in relatable, heavy/industrial manufacturing environment
High School Diploma or GED

Resourceful and well organized – i.e. keeps work area clean, safe and orderly

Other Requirements:
Properly don and doff Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, safety glasses, eye protection (where applicable).
Compliance with policy and procedures, including adherence to clean room attire, where applicable. For example: wearing hair net, beard guards, lab coat, shoe covers. Clean room expectations also include not wearing make-up / fake eyelashes, lotions, cologne/perfumes, jewelry, etc. as these can negatively impact product quality
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to frequently stand, stoop, bend, twist, walk, reach, squat, kneel, balance as well as push and pull during scheduled shift
Ability to perform repetitive motion work, including one-piece flow
Able to climb up and down a ladder as needed
