Danaher Corporation Manufacturing Associate III (3rd Shift) in Timonium, Maryland

The Operator III is a senior level operations associate within our Timonium, MD manufacturing facility. Associates in this role possess skill mastery in multiple areas of operations. Teamwork, and the willingness to assist others on the production lines, is an expectation for this role.

Operator III are our most skilled operations associates, with a strong technical aptitude, a DBS/lean mindset, and a focus on Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality in all actions. Associates in these roles are expected to work with minimal supervision, and will be responsible for critical operations roles within our Value Streams.

Punctuality and reliability are key behavior attitudes and expectations for this role. Associates MUST be willing to work schedule, as well as any required overtime/holidays.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Read and understand the Standard Operating Procedure for all machines and all areas within a Value Stream

  • Learn and follow standard work for all areas within a Value Stream

  • Partner with team members, and train associates, as required, in all areas within a Value Stream

  • Conduct Daily 5S activities within a Value Stream

  • Start, stop and run machinery and equipment with limited support

  • Change over machinery and equipment, as needed, without additional support

  • Make quality decisions, and lead quality and productivity improvements, at Gemba

  • Follow quality standards for all equipment within a Value Stream

  • Must be able to read and write simple statements.

  • Able to analyze, memorize and conduct and comprehend simple mathematical tasks.

  • Be able to make decisions and have sound judgment.

  • Complete an hourly scorecard

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push and pull for long periods of time.

  • Able to climb a ladder and flex the upper and lower body.

  • Ensure safe work conditions and identify/improve environmental health and safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy/industrial manufacturing environment

  • High School Diploma

  • Self-directed – ability to work independently with little supervision

  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

  • Good reasoning abilities. Sound judgment.

  • Resourceful and well organized – keeping a work area clean, safe and orderly

  • Problem solver, with the ability to develop a plan of corrective action

Other Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

  • PC skills are a plus

  • Able to become quality certified and self-inspect

  • Timely and consistent attendance is a MUST
