The Material Planner 1 is responsible for developing production/supply plans that take into account forecasts, availability of material and manufacturing capacity. They will identify and maintain the appropriate planning parameters in ERP systems to optimize subassembly production and raw material supply plans. There is also accountability for ensuring materials are ordered/available to manufacturing areas based on planned production schedules and for the appropriate shipping of finished goods to various distribution centers.
This position reports to the Operations Manager and is part of the Materials Management department located in Timonium, MD and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Coordinate and monitor daily performance, production output, scheduling commitments of the production plan to ensure on time delivery, optimized inventory levels, and equipment utilization and efficiency.
Collaborate with Operation and Materials teams to drive schedule attainment and to meet the committed output and monthly/quarterly goals. Communicate any challenges, deviations, or abnormalities to cross-functional teams for prompt resolution.
Monitor material supply and maintain efficient and productive use of raw materials to ensure continuous production.
Prepares and releases production work packages, monitor and maintain all the dates and resolve issues with cross-functional teams. Utilize SAP for process optimization and inventory accuracy.
Involve in weekly fulfilment meetings to review OTD, Past Due and Recovery Plans.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or Science preferred with 2+ years experience or HS Diploma/GED with 4 years relevant experience.
Experience in manufacturing, warehouse or supply chain environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
Demonstrated ability working with scheduling, product availability, etc. in an ERP program; SAP, Oracle are highly preferred.
Agile communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills for inventory investigations issues, production schedule delays.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Good understanding of inbound supply chain, procurement, and manufacturing activities.

The salary range for this role is $65,000-$73,000 annually . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
