What you’ll do Provides technical controllership guidance to both the finance and operations teams in Japan for the commercial, operational, and other related activities Communicates and trains Japan stakeholders on Cytiva DOA requirements, performs audit to ensure the compliance with the Policy Reviews the requests/transactions as required by Cytiva DOA Drives consistent and effective policies and procedures during monthly closing process including pre-close review, Manual Journal Entry approval, account reconciliations, account reconciliation audits, company reporting submissions, representation letters and ensures that these are completed on time and to corporate standards Leads quarterly balance sheet deep dive and supports Danaher Compliance team on Annual Balance Sheet Review Program Support Danaher Sox testing, internal audit and external audit, own the timely closure of the open items/defects and proactively work to prevent future issues/manage risk Supports Asia controller and Global process owner to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of the work performed by the BPO Ensures Statutory and Tax filing are completed on timely manner Supports global/regional projects including but not limited to transition off GE TSA, process simplification Who you are Proficient in Japan GAAP; US GAAP desirable; CPA/AICPA/professional qualification preferred University degree in finance or accounting; At least 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance position, worked in an international business Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and Japanese for both written and verbal. Strong ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner Demonstrated ability to liaise with business leaders and colleagues at all levels in cross-functional environment Proficient with Oracle and BI tools Committed person, and accountable for the deliverables Be positive and be passionate Eager to learn new things and willing to take challenges
