The HR Specialist for Cytiva is responsible for overall HR operations to enhance associates experience from onboarding to exiting, between those major events, day-to-day operations such as maintaining employee records, benefits, HR policies, etc.

This position is part of the Human Resources located in Shinjuku, Tokyo and will be on-site with flexibility. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

  • Partnering with HR management, payroll, Comp and Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and other system owners to provide necessary information using reporting tools and work with them to resolve employee questions and issues

  • Assisting in taking appropriate steps to ensure that the onboarding is seamless for new hires, facilitating New Employee Orientation and other HR related explanation meetings to notify associates any changes in benefits, policies, etc.

  • Maintaining , updating and protecting confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment and care which includes HR database (Workday), T&A system, payroll information

  • Managing annual leave, refresh vacations, summer vacations, overtime and sick leave

  • Managing benefits by working closely with the vendors, utilizing any opportunity to enhance the programs to better serve employees

  • Preparing government reports and submit as required

  • Supporting other HR related events, projects, tasks and communications as requested such as annual healthcare checkup, stress check, issuing letters,

Who you are:

  • Solid interpersonal skills : ability to work and communicate effectively in a team-based environment

  • Prior experience (minimum of 2-3 years) in Human Resources , or equivalent experience.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Ability to recognize when to escalate issues

  • Language skill: fluent in Japanese and business level in English
