Develops and implements testing, sampling and inspection procedures on raw materials, equipment, in-process materials, and/or finished products to ensure that product specifications and company and regulatory requirements are met. Investigates and troubleshoots functionality and performance problems. Recommends corrective action when appropriate. May monitor and execute on-site equipment and tools calibration.
Lead the QC Team in NPML to manage day to day manufacturing product quality issues - 40% -Work with cross functional team in Tsukuba to maintain the high quality product standard. -Lead and chair the MRB/ DRB to manage non-conforming products/ materials according to procedure and system. -Set up and maintain adequate quality control steps or QC flow to ensure the incoming materials, in-process products and final products quality are monitored and in-control. -Lead the Team to carry out process audit/ QC patrol. -Monitor, track and report NPML quality indexes (such as IQC reject rate, customer complaint and cycle time etc…). -Provide guidance and coaching to the QC Lab and metrology improvement. •SPC – 15% -Lead the team to setup, maintain and improve the SPC system to meet our needs and the customer expectations. -Publish regular SPC summary/ report to management. •Documentation Management - 5% -Administrate and manage all relevant documentations related to NPML QC. -Administrate the Smartsolve documentation system in NPML. •Customer Complaints/ Requests Management – 30% -Direct responsible for customer product quality complaints/ requests. Lead internal team in NPML to investigate complaints, identify root causes and define/ validate corrective/ preventive actions. -Lead QC to prepare investigation report for customer complaints. -Work closely with QA team to support customer complaint/ request communication. -If needed, support QA and Sales Team to meet customers for complaint investigation presentation. •Quality Improvement Activities -- 10% -Be the Leader in NPML to drive for quality improvement. -Drive NPML for quality improvement to meet specific customer requirements and expectations.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. •Minimum 7 years relevant working experience in manufacturing with minimum 3years management experience. •Strong knowledge and experience in SPC and metrology. 6 Sigma trained or Certified GB/ BB will be and added advantage. •Good knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS standard and certified QMS auditor will be an advantage. •Good knowledge in microelectronics or semiconductor industry is preferred. •Customer quality experience is an added advantage. •Good knowledge in other statistical tools (such as MSA, Pareto, ANOVA etc…) and quality tools (such as FMEA, Cause and Effect Diagram, 8D etc…). •Proficient in software such as PowerPoint, Excel, Minitab, etc. •Excellent in Japanese and English communication skills both in speaking and writing. Additional language (such as Chinese and Korean) will be an added advantage.
