Danaher Corporation Representative, Sales Japan in Tokyo, Japan

Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions:The position will be responsible for SCIEX products sales in the bio-pharmaceutical, biologics, food, environment,forensics, medical, academia, and other industries in Japan. Responsibilities will include lead generation, enquiryfollow up, prospecting for new business, initiating and organizing demonstrations, producing sales forecasts andterritory planning, customer quotation, dealer coordination and achieving product revenue and growth targets at biopharmaceutical,biologics, food, environment, forensics, medical, academia, and other accounts in Japan.The Sales Representative will develop a deep understanding of customer workflow to identify gaps that we canaddress with our product and service offering, also deep understanding of competition and being able to competitivelyposition products to achieve high win rates.Taking a consultative sales approach, the Sales Representative will compete for all existing sales opportunities anddevelop new business within the territory to meet or exceed plan. This will involve managing a significant number ofkey accounts to build and maintain long term relationships. To achieve these objectives, the Sales Representative willuse and involve internal resources and stakeholders early in the sales process and in the most efficient way.During the course of daily responsibilities, the Sales Representative will gather information from the field and deliver itto Marketing to allow the Company to develop strategies and products appropriate to the market.The Sales Representative will work with Marketing, Applications, and Service teams to achieve SCIEX products’business targets.Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:Proven track record of successful sales in bio-pharmaceutical, biologics, food, environment, forensics, medical,academia, and other industries, preferably related to Capillary Electrophoreses and Mass Spectrometry.An understanding of the market with life science background.Proven success working in a field-based role.Proven success in penetrating and managing large accounts..Metrics driven with strong CRM/data analysis and reporting orientation: Lead conversion, funnel strength, win/lossanalysis, forecasting, etc.Superior territory management skills.Good technical and product knowledge in MS and CE science.Bachelor degree in Science (Master Degree preferred)Additional Requirements:Strong communication and negotiation skillsHighest levels of personal and professional integrity, ethics.Must be native level of Japanese language. Good read and written English language communication skills.Experience with personal computer, e-mail, Microsoft Office programs, and CRM systems.
