We have a career opportunity open for someone that loves the technical aspect of software sales and understands the municipal utility space . This role partners with an account manager and is responsible for the technical demonstrations of the software sales cycle. As an integral part of the sales process, this is a quota-carrying role with lots of potential.
This is a fully remote position that will need to live within the Northeast US or Eastern Canada territory. ( Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Q uebec, Newfoundland, New Brunswick & Labrador, Nova Scotia, PEI)
About the Position:
The Technical Account Executive will help Aquatic Informatics expand our customer base by fostering relationships with prospective new customers and helping them solve their toughest water monitoring challenges. Using a consultative sales approach, you will provide software demonstrations including scripting, provisioning, and tailoring Aquatic Informatics’ software solutions to address customer pains uncovered during the sales discovery process. Your knowledge of software and services will be used to propose solutions to prospective customers and develop persuasive and repeatable demonstration scripts which showcase the power of the software. Passionate about driving value to our customers and measuring net new customer growth, revenue growth, and engagement with our products and services. In this role you will:
Provide consultative, solutions-based information to water and wastewater organizations, to help them understand how solutions from Aquatic Informatics can meet their business needs and solve their water quality and compliance reporting challenges.
Network with colleagues in the environmental and municipal water space at conferences and tradeshows to stay abreast of topics in your territory that are driving water quality compliance and reporting.
Drive sales growth in your assigned Northeast territory.
Identify and qualify new sales opportunities.
Provide proposals and sales presentations.
Travel up to 30% of your time.
Post-secondary degree in a technical field or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
3+ years of proven experience in enterprise or cloud software sales.
Track record of delivering value- add software demonstrations and consistently meet sales targets.
Also great to have:
Enterprise or cloud software sales in the environmental and/or the water industry preferred.
Consultative solutions-based sales or direct sales experience preferred.
Expanded conceptual knowledge of sales and software demonstration.
Ability to understand key business drivers; Uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
Proven independent results-driven work ethic.
A self-starter and teammate who is motivated to succeed.
Outstanding people/customer relationship skills.
Ability to learn new software applications quickly.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and time management skills.
