General Summary:

Be the process improvement leader for the Commercial organization. as their Danaher Business Systems Leader (DBSL). The Danaher Business System Leader - Growth (DBSL) has the responsibility of promoting and facilitating the successful implementation and evolution of DBS.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate the development and management of growth initiatives to achieve annual targets, Policy Deployment, and strategic plan objectives.

  • Develop and continuously improve processes across the commercial organization, including Sales, Marketing and Commercial Operations

  • Link business needs and opportunities to DBS and develop a roadmap to close gaps, install/improve processes, and sustain results

  • Demonstrate DBS Fundamentals combined with key commercial processes such as Funnel Management, Ground-breaking Marketing, and Growth Rooms/Daily Management to get results

  • Oversee Commercial DBS Visual Management drive visibility to kaizen funnel and sustainment, DBS Certified Practitioner (CP) status and plans, active Problem Solving Process (PSP), sustainment bowler, and training opportunities. Schedule, charter, and facilitate kaizen events.

  • Partner with commercial leaders to deploy and manage Holistic View of Commercial (HVC) including assessing the current DBS maturity of the commercial organization to identify process improvement opportunities and drive improvements

  • Directly provide formal and informal DBS training and coaching. Augment with other sources of training and coaching (DBSO). Improve DBS training and facilitation by pursuing certification in DBS tools for yourself and others. Evaluate and approve other associates for tool certification.

Knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in sales, sales operations & marketing, and/or commercial positions, including at least three years in sales or marketing leadership

  • Must be hands-on and detail-oriented but also able to see the big picture

  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional leadership with the ability to execute across boundaries and matrices

  • Need to be able to think strategically and view the business from a general management standpoint

  • Must be very customer focused and have strong interpersonal and communications skills

  • Will need to be a quick study who can rapidly adapt to Danaher’s culture and gain the confidence of the Danaher organization

  • This person will be high energy and able to handle conflict

  • Will be an independent worker, capable of operating in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment and able to effectively deal with difficult situations

  • This Leader must have a strong Gemba-orientation (spend time and inspire change at the ‘real place’ – where the ‘value happens’)

  • Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a “general manager’s” point of view; effective at structured problem solving and critical thinking
