Danaher Corporation Electrician III (Alternating Shift 1st & 2nd) in Torrance, California
Install, troubleshoot and repair Blowers, Motors, Vacuum Pumps, Air Compressor, Electric Pumps, Ovens & Furnaces, Heating & Chillers and lighting circuits, electrical control equipment, transformers, conduit and duct systems, fixtures and ballasts, and other types of electrical and power systems or equipment.
Check circuits and perform electrical repair of Fume hoods, ABT reactors. Air dryers, Centrifuges, Classifiers, UPS systems, Dust collectors, Polymer systems and Heat pumps.
Work from plans, sketches, blueprints, work orders or other instructions; interpret electrical plans and specifications; check for compliance with codes.
Train and act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for other electricians.
Provide input regarding the work performance of electricians.
Estimate cost of labor and materials for projects or work orders; requisition parts or supplies as needed.
Clean, test, troubleshoot and repair high voltage equipment as necessary.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Maintain punctual and consistent attendance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Trade tools, equipment, materials, methods and techniques used in skilled electrician work; working knowledge of safety practices, building codes, and National Electric Codes.
Single and poly-phase motors, equipment’s.
Operate power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, sketches, manuals, or work orders.
Meet schedules and timelines.
Ability to work safely and productively around employees.
Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Work cooperatively and collaboratively with customers, co-workers, engineers and other professionals when needed; work independently with limited direct supervision.
Maintain simple and concise records and prepare accurate reports.
Operate a computer and proprietary or mass market software such as MS Office, Dynamic AX, Excel, Google Docs.
