GENERAL SUMMARY:Under general direction the engineering, Electro Mechanical Technician is responsible for the safe and timely maintenance and repair of all facilities and engineering systems and equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all machinery and facility equipment. Equipment to include but not limited to: - Air Compressors ( Rotary Scroll, Rotary Claw & Rotary Screw) - Air Dryer - Vacuum Pumps ( Rotary Vane & Dry Screw) - Nitrogen Generator - Air Diaphragm Pumps - Centrifugal Pumps - Hydraulic Pumps - Dust Collector - Pneumatic Air Pump (High & Low Pressure, Range: 1000-50000PSI) - Exhaust Blower (500-6000CFM) - Process piping (Stainless steel, PVDF, Teflon CPVC) , RO System, RTO, RTD, Ovens and Furnace. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production or R&D equipment. Performs mechanical skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production equipment. Read and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Comply with all OSHA safety and Health standards for environmental, manufacturing and facilities. Solicits bids from vendors Perform other duties as assigned or needed Maintain various records and material and work orders. Estimate cost of labor and materials for work orders, obtain competitive price for equipment and supplies needed by projects. Perform other duties as assigned. Train and provide work direction to assigned personnel in the performance of a wide variety of duties related to the operations. Maintain regular attendance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma, 2-Year Associates Degree, College Degree, Certificate in trade school or equivalent work experience related to maintenance and/or facilities.

  • 5+ years working in a manufacturing or facilities organization.

  • Working experience in a progressive EHS based environment.

  • Working knowledge of all types of shop and equipment.

  • Experience working with preventative maintenance software system.

  • Self-starter with experience working in a team-based customer focus service organization.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Communicate effectively (oral and written) with all employees, contractors, vendors.

  • Prioritize and manage multi-functional tasks.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and against strict time constraints.

  • Intermediate PC and software skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Employees are responsible for performing their duties in an environment that is free from discrimination, intimidation, coercion or harassment, including sexual harassment. Work is performed primarily indoors in an office, laboratory, or warehouse setting; wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate; higher level of noise may be prevalent in laboratories or warehouse settings. While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to travel or work necessary overtime.

SAFETY:

Assists in the creation of a culture of safety and environmental protection by performing work safely in accordance with company and departmental safety procedures. Employee may be exposed to hazards or hazardous materials requiring use of personal protective equipment to prevent exposure. Operates equipment safely and reports any unsafe work conditions or practice to supervisor. If there is an accident or near miss, they must report it to their supervisor immediately.
