Danaher Corporation Production Master Scheduler in Torrance, California

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan & prepare Media production schedules for all media product families

  • Work with all Lab Techs to achieve individual & team goals; passing rates and number of reactor cycles completed

  • Gather information from all aspects of Production/QC, determine proper methods & procedures with the most efficient and cost effective way.

  • Ensure all failed media batches are rescheduled as soon as possible.

  • Utilize required date as the basis of scheduling priority.

  • Provide sales and customer service with delivery quotes and/or status on new and/or in process orders

  • Work with SOS on all backorders and maintain low quantities at all times.

  • Plan all media codes based on Marketing projections and create a predefine report.

  • Complete semi-annual analysis with all planning team and be part of presentation to the marketing group.

  • Maintain optimal inventory at all times.

  • Complete quarterly analysis on media inventory to ensure turn over rate is optimal.

  • Turn in all necessary reports in timely manner to the Manufacturing manager.

  • Help make a smooth transition of new product(s)to Production from R&D or out-sourced resource.

  • Keep proper documentation for any process change, new products, trouble-shooting etc as it relates to packing.

  • Provide required weekly report(s)to the Production and Manufacturing Manager.

  • Other jobs duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related, or Engineering

  • 1-2 years of experience in supply chain

  • Preferred supply chain experience in production planning/scheduling

  • Experience in chemical or batch manufacturing preferred
