Danaher Corporation Regional Marketing Associate (Bilingual Japanese/English) in Torrance, California
The Regional Marketing Associate for APAC distributing countries is responsible for the deployment of marketing campaigns and programs to support key regional initiatives as outlined in the marketing calendar. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, works well independently and as part of a team, has great project management, communication, and copywriting/editing skills. The person in this role will be responsible for projects/tasks such as: copywriting/editing/localizing marketing content, using CRM database and marketing automation software for deployment of digital and print marketing campaigns, tracking ROI for all marketing activities, working with distributors to align on marketing strategy and campaign deployment.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Support strategic initiatives through deployment of regional marketing plan which includes direct marketing programs, new product launches, and multi-channel promotional campaigns.
Thoroughly critique layout/design, messaging, accuracy, corporate style adherence, and legal clearance of localized marketing pieces.
Localize general campaign pieces, including light translations, to personalize customer experience in local region.
Work closely with translation companies, advertising agencies, freebie item vendors, mailing houses, and print houses.
Facilitate direct marketing campaigns using internal databases (CRM) to identify potential member segments, and a marketing automation system for marketing activity deployment.
Coordinate the direction of marketing actions and provide detailed mailing instructions to fulfillment groups (internal and external).
Track all marketing project spend on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
Monitor and report on the return on investment (ROI) of every project completed.
Effectively communicate with other departments as well as channel partners about upcoming marketing actions.
Perform various other marketing functions, such as: general project management, replying to customer service related inquires, and creating/tracking projects on project management system.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, or Life/Physical Sciences required.
2+ years of experience in Marketing, Communications, or Project Management preferred.
Strong initiative and ability to organize workload for effective and timely implementation.
Ability to communicate effectively with service providers, departments, individuals and teams.
Ability to proofread and write clear, compelling, informative, marketing-oriented and/or explanatory copy for a variety of mediums.
PC proficiency in Windows environment to include MS Office suite. Experience with HTML coding for emails is a plus.
Experience with Customer Relationship Management software (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics) and marketing automation tools (i.e. Eloqua, Marketo, or similar) a plus.
Ability to write professionally and speak fluent English and Japanese is required. Other language capabilities within APAC region a plus.
