Do you want to work in R&D New Product Development Core Technology Team? Do you enjoy working on exciting projects targeting high impact new products for separation science?We are currently seeking a R&D Senior Technician who will be responsible for supporting an R&D team to develop new separation science products, methods, and techniques, execute experimental part of a research project, and summarize and report data. It will also be responsible for providing analytical support, keeping instruments calibrated and in excellent working condition and performing simple maintenance tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executes sets of experiments according to existing protocols involving surface modification of silica and polymer particles designed by supervisor and/or project lead

  • Performs physical and chemical testing of chromatographic sorbents, HPLC columns and sample preparation products with limited supervision

  • Performs routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, and requests and coordinates professional service if necessary

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry (or related STEM field) preferred

  • 3 years of chemistry, biochemistry, analytical, clinical, or diagnostics laboratory experience. Hands-on experience in chemical synthesis preferred

  • Experience with operating laboratory tools and instruments e.g. elemental analyzer, HPLC or GC

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of safety measures when working with hazardous chemicals

  • Previous experience in chemical or HPLC product development

The hourly range for this role is $25.00-$33.17/hr. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate; higher level of noise may be prevalent in laboratories or warehouse settings. While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to travel or work necessary overtime.
