The Direct Sourcing Lead – Supplier Performance Management (SL SPM) is responsible to perform SPM tasks related to their assigned Cytiva operating companies, business units and sites with focus on continuously improving the performance of key suppliers in-line with Cytiva’s and its customers’ requirements. The individual is the subject matter expert for supplier performance improvement projects through the application of data-driven methods with emphasis on Lean, DBS @ Supplier (Danaher Business System @ Supplier) and select Cytiva sourcing tools. The SL SPM holds the responsibility of identifying supplier candidates for performance improvement projects jointly with the sourcing leaders at the assigned sites, BU(s) or operating companies. Once identified, the SL SPM prepares, facilitates and drives supplier projects to conclusion which includes the coordination of cross-functional Cytiva resources required to enable the supplier to reach and sustain the targeted performance level (eg. SQE, SCM, Materials, Sourcing, Engineering).

The role is global and covers all relevant parts, materials, services and suppliers associated to the specific portfolio assigned to the SL SPM. A high level of regular and ad-hoc on-site and remote / virtual interaction with sourcing or category leaders, supply chain, materials management, supplier quality assurance, R&D, new product introduction and other functions is required.

What you will do

  • Plans, prepares, facilitates and completes supplier performance improvement projects based on requests and inputs from BU Sourcing leadership (incl. projects on supplier premises).

  • Applies select Lean, DBS (Danaher Business System) and sourcing tools / methods to improve supplier performance with impact on capacity, OTD, lead-times, TCO, inventory and other relevant factors.

  • Provides tools, improvement methods and supplier-related insights into sourcing strategy development and execution at the assigned sites.

  • Supports sourcing or category leaders in the preparation of supplier negotiations.

  • Coaches Cytiva and supplier resources in the application and sustainment of select Lean, DBS and sourcing tools as beneficial to improve supplier performance.

  • Provides critical input during the planning and priorization process for supplier improvement projects.

  • Communicates the results of supplier improvement projects to Cytiva stakeholders and archives project documentation.

  • Implements best practices and develops SL SPM tools, methods, KPIs and strategies in-line with Cytiva’s priorities.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Procurement/Sourcing/Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.

  • Advanced project management skills .

  • Ability to perform in a virtual team environment, at remote locations (including supplier sites) and on global level.

  • Some years working experience in complex supply chains and with international suppliers, ideally including problem-solving and continuous improvement projects targeting supplier capacity, OTD, lead-time, TCO and inventory improvements.

  • Experience in working in a matrix organization and proven track record of achieving results as a member or leader of multi-functional teams .

  • Fluent in oral and written English . Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to travel globally up to 10-15%.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Advanced to expert knowledge in select DBS tools (e.g. PSP, VSM, Kaizen, SW, DBS@Supplier, DMS) which are relevant to improve supplier performance. Certification in one or multiple DBS tools is considered a plus .

  • Advanced supplier assessment / auditing skills.

  • Advanced knowledge in Lean or other supplier performance management tools and practices.
