What you’ll do:
Manage and support Cytiva’s internal team of talented marketing writers and designers, in addition to external agencies and freelancers; onboard, train, and mentor team members and resources
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing communications, digital marketing, PR/comms, brand, product/field marketing, R&D, legal and compliance) to plan, develop, and publish marketing materials
Manage an editorial calendar and coordinate with internal/external writers and designers to assign marketing projects according to scope, timeline, budgeting needs, and resource availability
Oversee content writing and copywriting/messaging projects, including ideation, writing, and editing of materials; ensure projects align with production timelines and meet defined goals and objectives
Support Cytiva’s story, vision, and mission through industry-related, brand-aligned storytelling; ensure that a continuous coordinated stream of content is published through Cytiva’s owned digital channels
Encourage team members and internal stakeholders test out new content creation methods and take healthy risks to reach target segments and audiences
Ensure compliance across all content and copy/messaging with Cytiva’s writing guidelines and work instructions for advertising and promotional materials; maintain an up-to-date library of guidelines and ensure changes are communicated cross-functionally as needed
Ensure compliance with Cytiva’s brand guidelines and integrate our brand voice into all content and copy/messaging across website content, social media content, marketing and event materials
Oversee content development best practices, including SEO, content length/format, and use of graphics; identify internal and external best practices for content creation and share learnings across the team
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field
7+ years’ experience in marketing, marketing communications, or the life sciences industry
Minimum 2 years in a marketing writer role, with a portfolio to demonstrate self-developed content
Creative skills in content writing and copywriting, including detailed knowledge of content creation across the buyer’s journey for digital audiences
Outstanding verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to clearly express ideas with conversation, writing, and whiteboarding
Willing to take risks and innovate; ability to influence and motivate others to think differently for content development and production practices
High energy, proactive team player, and flexible to pivot with changes in priorities
Proven ability to motivate, influence, and work effectively with diverse, cross-functional, global teams across multiple levels (including senior leadership and executives), and outside vendors/suppliers
Preferred: life sciences product/industry acumen
