We are looking for a Principal UX Designer , and in this role you will be required to use your subject matter expertise in Holistic UX design to pursue creative and innovative methodologies both at program level but also at its broader impact on the business.

You will also lead UX implementation in projects and programs in design and development of new products and services ( Hardware and Software ) for the life sciences market. This will include leading UX activities from conceptual phase to final development phase.

Accountabilities

General:

• Work collaboratively with region and global team of designers to secure that the Cytiva goals and imperatives are fulfilled in projects design work.

• Lead UX activities or oversee a team from conception to final development stage.

• Work with other specialists, such as principal engineers ( HW & SW ) to drive User focused innovation within product development

• Work on long term vision, Influence technology roadmap and evolve design strategy to drive cultural change into more Customer & User centric design.

• Drive, plan and facilitate design thinking workshops within DBS for RnD , marketing and PM teams cross all Cytiva Op-Co´s

• Drive customer focused product design by evolve empathy focus and creative design thinking in DBS product development and Innovation processes

• Drive product development towards empathic design that serves users, still with technical and financial constraints into account

• Lead and perform product UX design activities involving user research, ergonomics, model making / prototyping and product aesthetics in product development projects.

• Drive implementation of, and present to all stakeholders the Customer & User centric design strategy’s

UX team support:

• Major contributor to UX strategy creation and implementation

• Foster innovation and actively contribute to innovation data base

• Mentor more junior UX designers

• Champion DBS tools relevant to the UX team

Organization:

• Inform and inspire peers about the impact of user-centric design , design thinking and human centered approach

• Creating, advocating for and upholding new standards for UX design and quality within the organization

• Supporting UX though leadership with a focus on converting strong conceptual thinking into tangible, impactful experiences.
