The Strategic Marketing Senior Analyst – Genomic Medicine is responsible for continued evaluation of the global marketplace dynamics including market potential, competitor activity and disruptive technologies within the rapidly changing genomic medicine market (cell, gene & nucleic acid therapies). This position also has responsibility to identify and evaluate potential key growth areas, recommending potential new opportunities for the current product portfolio and overall Cytiva capabilities. Additionally, the associate is expected to create & manage a KOL (Key Opinion Leader) program that can be leveraged by the organization to increase understanding of key market & technology trends.
What you’ll do
Perform business analysis that articulate the strategy of the organization around key growth markets, customer segments & technologies
Participate in the strategic planning cycle of the organization by assessing genomic medicines’ addressable market (size, growth & share), competitive positioning & value chain capture
Engage closely with strategy, marketing & commercial teams & provide market intelligence (market trends, technology adoption, customer needs, etc…) that enable profitable short & long term growth
Propose innovative frameworks that aim at adapting our business model to market changes
Support business case development for inorganic & organic growth opportunities
Participate in market research projects in conjunction with our Insights team to ensure synergies & alignment with overall market intelligence on key business initiatives
Establish processes to recruit & manage relationships with a group of industry KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders)
Engage with the KOL community to distill key insights to the business that can be leveraged strategically as well as tactically
Who you are
The ideal candidate has past experience and passion for the Life Science industry
Master’s Degree or PhD in Business Management, Marketing, Engineering, Science or related field; An MBA would be a plus
5+ years of experience in analytics, finance, marketing or 3+ years in management consulting; a strategy consulting profile would be a plus
Starting with disparate data, ability to synthesize information to ultimately create insights that drive strategic business outcomes
Strategic thinking – able to independently design/identify ideal approach to answering complex business questions
Strong project management skills to scope out projects, define deliverables, and plan appropriate timelines to execute projects
Proven record of accomplishment of establishing and delivering analytical projects, adjusting to changing circumstances
The candidate will be required to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Be able to think out of the box & propose winning evolutions
Excellent oral, written communication, networking & presentation skills
A curious mind with an ability to quickly learn technical and scientific aspects of various products and application areas
Advanced skills in excel (any programming language / machine learning capability would be a plus)
