We're currently hiring a Sr. Manager for Value Engineering to drive the VAVE (value add - value engineering) program to meet the financial targets set for the program. The program leader will be responsible for the development of the project funnel and the execution of the prioritized projects.
This role is located in Torrance, CA the second largest suburb of Los Angeles county. Just 19 minutes drive to Los Angeles International Airport nestled along the beautiful Santa Monica Bay.
The role will also be tasked with building a team and developing the standard work to sustain growth of the program i ncluding:
Developing, managing, and executing on a Value engineering project funnel that is geared towards meeting organizational financial goals
Accountability for the performance and results of the team
Apply understanding of the business and how area integrates with others to achieve departmental objectives
Collaborate with the finance team on goal setting and project tracking processes
Make decisions that are guided by resource availability and organizational objectives
Adapt departmental plans and objectives to meeting short term organizational goals or challenges
Champion DBS(Lean) and use the tools to drive performance of the team and the program
Facilitate workshops to drive COGS analyses
Guide organization functional business plans, impacts the department results by supporting and funding of projects
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field. Masters Preferred.
5+ years’ experience leading teams
3+ years’ experience leading cost savings projects
