Beckman Coulter is seeking talented & dynamic individual to fill the position of Inside Sales/Service Representative for Austria and Germany. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing organization. The incumbent will be responsible for retaining, supporting and growing the commercial service business in their territory, in addition to defining and driving process improvements in the sale process. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an individual looking to have an impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Contact customers at the expiration of the warranty period to transition them to service maintenance agreements to grow long term business.

  • Drive process improvements in service contract business including timeliness of renewals, warranty conversion, and selling new services.

  • Serve as a point of contact to customers, sales, engineers, District Managers, and supplier with the objective of retaining growing business. As necessary, provide customers with all necessary information in order to facilitate the service agreement transactions.

  • Direct sales of contracts, including pricing and proposals. Work closely with Service Management to identify opportunities, provide leads, and add service agreements.

  • Achieve quotas and targets while working in a matrix structure, geographically dispersed from colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor´s degree with some years of professional experience or Master´s degree and early career professional experience.

  • Experience in a business to business sales environment, or experience in a related field or industry (e.g. life science, biomedical, life science).

  • Prior telemarketing/inside sales and customer service experience is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills. Able to convey value and focus on points of differentiation.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to listen, and business acumen skills, a real team player who is actively looking for solutions.

  • Self-starter that can work independently and take action with excellent sales ability who is results oriented - able to clearly separate effort from results. Must possess the ability to quickly gather data, identify trends/issues, and clearly communicate next steps and follow-up to ensure that opportunities are closed.

  • Strong PC skills, Microsoft Office skills - specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, proven experience with collaboration tools (Sharepoint, Slack etc) is mandatory.

  • Language skills: professional German, fluent in English. Other European Languages considered a plus.
