Danaher Corporation Staff Applications Scientist in Ireland
We have an opportunity for an experienced Staff Applications Scientist to join our team.
We are an experienced technical team that work globally to provide the highest level of service in product application support for Beckman Coulter products and systems. Typically working with field applications, commercial operations, and distributors, we work to resolve customer technical queries and provide technical solutions. We actively bring voice of service and application to new product development. The team develops and delivers of advanced Application training for Field Application Specialist and Engineers and ensure product readiness in order to support commercial activities prelaunch and post launch.
Core team member for Service and Support for Serology/ Blood Virus projects ensuring delivery of assigned tasks on time regularly communicating New Product Development deliverable status to line management.
Actively manage Early Response Team/ Escalations liaising with field and product specialists to resolve escalations and customer issues.
Product SME with strong overall system understanding which allows for effective troubleshooting of a range of complex issues
Lead investigative, cross-functional teams. Collaborates with teams across all geographies in problem solving and process improvements. Can effectively implement countermeasures within global Service organisation.
Deliver reports for system technical issues with accurate qualitative and quantitative facts, examples and data, summarizing effectively with strong conclusions
Communication of problem resolutions and/or investigation outcomes to all appropriate personnel.
Develop launch support documentation/tools - Applications manual, technical assay guides and training
Provision of excellent internal and external (where appropriate) customer satisfaction continually striving to improve support activities
Drives product and process improvements and efficiencies using DBS tools
Ability to effectively influence, relate to and communicate with all levels within the organization providing clear open communication
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in field with 9+ years’ experience or Masters with 7 year + or PhD with 4 year + level in a Science related discipline Biochemistry or Clinical Chemistry preferred
Must have previous experience working in an Immunoassay Technical Support/ Research or Clinical environment with proven system knowledge
Ability to master complex methods and principles of instrument performance.
Must have excellent communication skills and ability to team work within the group of specialists as well as in cross-functional groups.
Must be an innovative thinker with excellent analytical and critical thinking capabilities
