Pathology Imaging Service Specialist (Area of Oporto and Galicia)

Your mission will be to provide support and maintenance along with troubleshooting and commissioning of the laboratory instruments portfolio with specific focus on the Leica Biosystems Digital Pathology instruments rapidly increasing market.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Document and complete service administration activities in a timely manner in order to comply with ISO, FDA, and Company policies.

  • Provide installation support, maintenance, modification and/or repair on LBS instruments with particularly focus on Pathology Imaging/Digital pathology increasing market

  • On site installation of Digital Pathology equipment, including configuration of network requirements

  • Actively support the sale of service contracts, assist sales representatives and service engineers with IT system configurations /upgrades and broader portfolio

  • Effectively communicate with internal colleagues and external customers within established time guidelines in order to meet customer’s expectations

  • Co-operate closely with and support the sales team with tasks such as basic training for customers, installations, demonstrations and system builds.

  • Work closely with Field Support Team to ensure all customers are provided with an industry leading professional After Sales Service within the KPI’s set by Service Management

  • Provide input on ways to improve financial performance in order to generate service revenue.

  • Broaden knowledge and experience to improve product, application and professional development skills and ultimately, represent the company in a professional manner.

  • Maintain spare parts stock within budgetary limits in order to maximize “Fast Time Fix” repair metrics.

Our Expectations:

  • University Degree in IT Engineering, University Degree in Biomedical Engineering

  • Experience in medical IT environment/industries

  • Medical software workflow, IT medical configuration/maintenance expertise

  • Operating systems: Windows, Linux (a plus)

  • Windows network configuration, manage windows services (a plus)

  • IP/IPX based LAN knowledge

  • DHCP Client/Server knowledge

  • Network connection troubleshooting

  • Preferable Experience with Windows Servers

  • Knowledge of Digital Pathology Integration solutions and software installations advantageous

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written with ability to communicate across different levels internally and at customer sites.

  • Highly certified proficiency in Portuguese, Spanish and English

  • No need to live in Porto city, the role can be based in Porto area
