Role Description (Primary functions & responsibilities)
Position : Manager, Workflow and IT Solutions (WITS), APAC
Reporting to : Director, Commercial Operations, APAC
Location : Within APAC countries
Works with : Country marketing and WITS specialists; Country commercial leads across APAC
Automation and Informatics is one of the cornerstones for Beckman Coulter in driving business growth. The WITS Manager is responsible for the development and execution of global, regional, and country strategic WITS initiatives. He/She will also be handling the automation product portfolio to drive marketing initiatives and product life cycle management. The WITS manager will also be involved in the acquisition of country targeted top accounts through spearheading account strategy development, supporting and/or coaching on workflow analysis and development of innovative tools and methodologies to enable customer needs discovery.
- Strategy development and execution
Participate APAC or country automation STRAT planning and drive flawless execution
Focus on selective strategic initiatives that help capture market share and supports the Growth in Automation.
Develop and execute region and/or country specific strategies and commercialization plan to promote “Bringing the benefit of automation to all”.
Establish and build deep understanding of account needs, stakeholders, and competitive situation
Work closely with sales leadership in winning large automation opportunities
Develop and execute funnel review standard work
Manage regional WITS product portfolio growth KPI
- Automation product marketing and product management
Monitoring of market intelligence, market trends, customer needs and developments in the diagnostic area, related to automation and informatics solutions
Collaborate with global marketing, business unit and countries to determine the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and channels; market strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT)
Responsible for establishing and informing sales team about the marketing positioning strategy, customer value proposition, pricing and product specifications of BC automation solution
Work with countries to timely provide regional forecast for WITS portfolio to business unit
Execute product launches successfully using Danaher Business System Launch Excellence methodology
Work closely with Informatics product manager to establish synergy in total solution promotional effort
Execute regional events ie Automation Leadership Forum, User group meetings, Webinars - Incorporating VOC and pull marketing strategies
Develop sales tools, key value proposition sales sheets and competitive differentiation
Deliver product sales training to internal stakeholders, including channel partners.
Execute product discontinuance and obsolesces standard work to ensure smooth retirement of aging product
Develop and deploy innovative tools to enhance regional workflow capabilities
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Medical Technology, Marketing, or relevant fields with 10+ years’ experience
Must have prior medical product marketing and product management experience
Passion for automation and informatics
Must have strong continuous improvement mindset
Strong commercial and financial acumen
Able to work well and collaboratively with stakeholders from different backgrounds, cultures, and countries, including cross functional colleagues to ensure inclusiveness and alignment of initiatives/projects across functions, teams, and countries
Strong interpersonal and communications as well as group facilitation/teaching skills, including public speaking and moderating
Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management skills
Good analytical skills: ability to work with large data sets preferred
Good writing and presentations skills
Experienced in IVD industry is a plus
Experienced in people management is a plus
Up to 50% international travel required
