Position Summary The Optimization Consultant, VISION24 Solutions will be critical in leading Leica Biosystems’ efforts to efficiently provide patients a highlight confident diagnosis within 24 hours from biopsy (VISION24). The Optimization Consultant will lead projects with healthcare facilities to identify and evaluate sustainable clinical, operational and financial improvements across their integrated end-to-end breast cancer diagnosis & treatment process. At the conclusion of each project, the Optimization Consultant will be responsible to synthesize findings and present the outputs to the customer.

The Optimization Consultant, VISION24 Solutions will be critical to helping us realize this vision and will lead our efforts to translate VISION24 into a customer-focused solution. This individual will do so by: * Identify opportunities to improve quality, optimize efficiency, and integrate solutions across the entire cancer diagnosis and treatment pathway.
* Drive targeted, sustainable improvements that are tied to clinical, financial and operational performance outcomes by leveraging Lean / Six Sigma tools, consulting skills, and change management process. * Drive awareness and interest in integrating workflow processes between Radiology, Pathology, Surgery and Oncology Departments within key strategic healthcare facilities. * Collaborate with internal and external customers for the purpose of benchmarking performance and knowledge building of industry best practices to guide customers to their ideal integrated breast cancer diagnosis decisions.

Major Responsibilities Major responsibilities of this role are: * Identify opportunities to improve quality, optimize efficiency, and integrate solutions across the entire cancer diagnosis and treatment pathway.
o Gain agreement and path forward on solving customer needs o Clearly articulate the value of VISION24 Solutions
o Partner with cross-functional VISION24 team (Workflow Optimization, Marketing, Sales & R&D) to implement and maintain tailored solutions of Leica Biosystems’ product and process-based improvements * Drive targeted, sustainable improvements that are tied to clinical, financial and operational performance outcomes by leveraging Lean / Six Sigma tools, consulting skills, and change management process. o Lead process to identify, evaluate & measure impact of tailored Leica Biosystems’ solutions necessary to optimize processing, remove variation & standardize clinical best practices across the integrated end-to-end breast cancer diagnosis & treatment process.
* Drive awareness and interest in integrating workflow processes between Radiology, Pathology, Surgery and Oncology Departments within key strategic healthcare facilities. o Establish trusted relationship between Leica Biosystems and Clinical Radiology, Pathology, Surgery & Oncology departments * Collaborate with internal and external customers for the purpose of benchmarking performance and knowledge building of industry best practices to guide customers to their ideal integrated breast cancer diagnosis decisions.

Required Education, Experience, Skills BA/BS in the Life Sciences or Equivalent

Experience/Skills: * Healthcare Background – Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Clinical / Healthcare environment, including a range of projects, with a proven track record of driving process improvements required.
* Process Improvement – Ability to champion Lean / Six Sigma principles and develop best practices across diverse healthcare & business environments. * Technical Excellence – Must possess the technical skills necessary to be seen as credible by peers and managers inside healthcare facilities. * Process Management – Demonstrated proficiency applying lean principles in a variety of situations. Understands how to separate and combine tasks into efficient workflow. Knows what to measure and how to measure it. * Project Management – Ability to plan, organize and manage resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. * Analytical Skills – Identifies and understands relevant trends, opportunities, needs and market direction.
