The Buyer Planner is responsible for ensuring material availability to support our production schedule. This role involves managing inventory levels, supporting material and product level revisions, coordinating with suppliers on various topics, and assisting other business functions as needed. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, extensive ERP knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

This position is part of Leica Biosystems Digital Pathology Business Unit located in Vista, California and will be onsite. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Material Planning: Utilize systems to review and input data, generate reports, and coordinate and validate the purchasing of materials and components based on customer delivery dates or production schedules.

  • Purchasing: Place purchase orders with suppliers for the procurement of production materials as required by forecasts and production schedules. Monitor the status of open orders to ensure on-time delivery, resolving and communicating any issues promptly

  • Inventory Management: Determine and establish optimal inventory levels based on forecasts, demand variations, and material lead times. Monitor inventory levels to prevent excess, shortages, and inaccuracies

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field, or a minimum of 5 years' experience in a planning and/or procurement environment.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • ERP System Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is highly preferred.

  • Direct Material Management: Proven experience in managing direct material Kanban systems.

  • Danaher Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Danaher Business Systems (DBS) and Danaher Material Systems (DMS) is a plus.

The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 - $90,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
