As the Project Manager, AI Software you will be responsible for utilizing the Agile development approach to design product-level requirements, create and manage the product backlog, and collaborate closely with the development team to ensure the successful and timely delivery of the AI product roadmap within the Digital Pathology division.

This position is part of the Digital Pathology division located in Vista, CA and will be onsite At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

You will be a part of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Software Team and report directly to the Director Clinical AI Applications and are responsible for creating and prioritizing the product backlog while ensuring alignment with overall product requirements. You will prioritize tasks based on project needs, dependencies, team capacity, and schedules, ensuring on-time delivery. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead the development of product requirements derived from high-level user needs. Oversee the development lifecycle by actively participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning and review meetings.

  • Translate product requirements into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria in order to ensure timely and successful delivery of products.

  • Exhibit strong project management skills by efficiently overseeing the product development timeline, proactively identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in science / technology related discipline.

  • Certified as Agile Practitioner in a known framework with 3+ years in an agile software development.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Master's degree in science/technology related discipline and Healthcare industry experience in Diagnostics, Medical Device or Pharmaceuticals.

  • Digital Pathology or Histopathology experience

  • Artificial Intelligence and / or Image Analysis domain experience

  • Demonstrated experience with FDA submission process for medical device software

The salary range for this role is $125k - $135k. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. #L1-WT1
