In this position, you will collaborate with highly skilled product development teams responsible to release software solutions that drive the full adoption of clinical Digital Pathology. You will create and own system level requirements to improve and evolve our software backend infrastructure. You will be required to understand sophisticated software architecture to drive forward thinking strategies to improve solution scalability and accelerate application development.
Assist in planning, executional oversight, and engineering in various software projects.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure alignment.
Be the specialist on our distributed software services and represent SW R&D to other partners.
Understand customers’ Clinical IT infrastructure and cyber security needs in order to deploy enterprise software into their environments.
Analyze current system architecture/design. Work with team to build impactful projects to advance our solution.
Assist in product strategy and roadmap development and delivery activities.
Express product requirements in the form of user stories. Prioritize a product backlog to maximize customer outcomes.
Be data and process driven to accelerate software development and improve overall quality.
BS or higher in computer engineering, or similar technical field or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in healthcare or an equivalent regulated environment.
Experience documenting requirements and designs, preferably in a regulated environment
2+ years of experience with crafting backend services for enterprise web applications
Experience in distributed computing models, micro service architecture, and cloud hosted services
Experience with distributed enterprise IT infrastructure and remote Datacenters.
Comfortable working with customers, product managers, developers/QA engineers, sales, and marketing.
Proven success in making informed technology choices after due diligence and impact/risk assessments.
Familiarity with VersionOne Software Tool or other related tools for Agile Development
Experience working for a Class I/II medical device company
Experience with anatomic pathology workflow in a clinical space
Familiarity with Full Stack Web application development technologies
Deep understanding of Design Controls for Medical Device Development
