Danaher Corporation Sr. Manager, AI Technical Product Manager in Vista, California

At Leica Biosystems, our mission is to advance cancer diagnostics to improve lives. In order to achieve our mission, we have a created a dedicated A rtificial Intelligence and Machine Learning SBU , to arm our pathologist customers with new AI tools. As an AI Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing the process of culling VOC and customer frustration/frequency challenges into a cohesive set of prioritized AI use cases. You will further vet those use cases against what is feasible today given the current state of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision technology and the FDA/CE regulatory framework. You will interface with AI Lab scientists, development team, external AI product partners, product marketing, regulatory/clinical, and customer pathologists as we augment our scanning and imaging platform with new AI and ML product capabilities.

Major Responsibilities

  • Mobilize our AI strategy into action plans, funnels, and rationalized roadmaps

  • For each AI use case, analyze the buy, the partner, and the build scenarios

  • Research and form a strong evidence-based opinion on AI pricing models with an eye toward 3-year revenue and gross margin requirements

  • Collaborate with the Strategy and Innovation team, CDx team, R&D team, and Imaging Solutions Product Managers to align AI product strategies with defined mid-term product portfolio roadmap

  • Collaborate with broader AS&I product management team as needed to align “systems-level” product requirements, business plan creation, including understanding minimal marketable product requirements, key personas, and value propositions to support customer adoption

  • Develop LBS commercial model for AI products. Place emphasis on communicating an ongoing refine/adjust process to stakeholders in order to adapt to the evolving market

  • Enable and support the commercial launch of AI partners’ products by enabling and supporting LBS Selling Unit with high-quality evidence, trainings and other marketing materials

  • Collaborate with Global Marketing to:

  • Drive the portfolio growth initiatives to meet revenue achievement commitments

  • Create innovative ways to speak to our channels, ensuring high standard support materials, campaigns and digital assets are created

Required Education, Experience, Skills

  • Strong desire to do meaningful work in the world and chunk on challenging problems.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering discipline, MBA from a top program

  • Clinical healthcare industry experience in Payer, Provider, Diagnostics, Medical Device or Pharmaceuticals

  • 10+ years of increasing responsibilities in technical product marketing; preference given to experience of going from concept to customer with a new subscription-based software

  • Experience delivering requirements to a high-touch Agile development team
